That was an unexpectedly thorough, insightful, and mostly negative reply on cryptospace as a whole. but for me it's enough to invest a big bag into the project and feeling good being part of it. 'Investors' might probably can't follow my points. I'm dreaming all day about a better future and the best ideas in life happened through dreaming of almost unreachable goals. They dreamed a little too far, I'm totally fine with it.
I've always been extremely confident that all of them were there only for the tech and didn't want to just make quick dirty money (as for example Dom already became $ billionair in the very beginning of IOTA - money is no incentive for him and I'm sure that he's giving all his power working extremely hard to enable this vision of IOTA.) And I'm sure that many others in IF are doing the same as Dom - creating something revolutionairy, something meaningful.Įven though many promises have not been fulfilled by the IF I never felt betrayed by anyone. I never had fear of beeing scammed by the people behind IF. I'm from germany and just proud that a foundation founded in Germany is developing such a high skilled piece of future (for sure the developers are wide spreaded over the world and this is not 'made in germany' but it feels like beeing some kind of close to the project which I like a lot.) This might be very subjective (and silly!) but I have trust because it's a german project. But for some reason this never touched my strong believe in the project maybe because of three things.
I'm highly engaged in IOTA (Token) since 2017 and I'm well aware of what happened in the IF and promises been broken and stuff. We are swimming in a sea of really dumb people. Also the calibre of thinking in the people you come across online that talk about crypto is fucking shocking. It's not surprising at all when you think about it. A lot of people dont even understand what is going on. Almost nobody is buying and holding based off long term visions of disruptive technology. Its a big game of listening to peoples arguments, deciding which ones you like and then gossiping them further on your social media platform of choice. The viewpoint from then on is always centred around what is the most talked about thing in the space at that time, where are the next moonshots coming from. They quickly buy coins from one of the first projects they come across and learn the bullet points of the narrative of that community and start to argue for it on twitter and reddit. The vast majority of people come into crypto because they hear about the gains and want it for themselves.
